(First Year)

1. Workshop Safety / कार्यशाला सुरक्षा

Learn:

• Workshop hazards and how to avoid accidents.
  वर्कशॉप खतरों और दुर्घटनाओं से कैसे बचें।

• How to use all safety equipment (PPE, fire fighting tools)
  सभी सुरक्षा उपकरणों (पीपीई, अग्निशमन उपकरण) का उपयोग कैसे करें।

• First Aid in case of injuries
  चोट लगने पर प्राथमिक उपचार।

• Correct way to handle tools and machines
  औजारों और मशीनों का सही तरीका।

Key Points:

• Never skip safety steps. | सुरक्षा के नियम हमेशा पालन करें।

• Know emergency procedures. | आपातकाल व्यवस्था जानें।

• Clean and organized workspace is safest. | साफ-सुथरा कार्यस्थल सबसे सुरक्षित है।

2. Measurement & Marking Tools / माप व मार्किंग औजार

Learn:

• Types of measuring instruments: scale, caliper, micrometer, etc.
  मापने के विभिन्न औजार: स्केल, कैलिपर, माइक्रोमीटर आदि।

• How to read and use each tool correctly
  हर औजार को सही से पढ़ना और इस्तेमाल करना।

• Marking methods on metal sheets and jobs
  मेटल शीट्स पर मार्क कैसे करें।

Key Points:

• Measure twice, cut once. | दो बार मापें, एक बार काटें।

• Instruments must always be clean and zeroed. | औजार हमेशा साफ और ठीक-ठाक रखें।

3. Filing & Hacksawing / फाइलिंग व हैक्सॉइंग

Learn:

• Types of files (flat, round, half-round, etc.) and where to use them.
  फाइल के प्रकार (फ्लैट, राउंड आदि) और उनका उपयोग।

• Correct filing techniques for smooth, flat, and accurate surfaces.
  सम व सटीक सतह बनाने के लिए सही फाइलिंग तकनीक।

• Cuts using hacksaw – straight, curved, and profile.
  हैक्सॉ के जरिये कट लगाना – सीधी, घुमावदार एवं प्रोफाइल।

Key Points:

• Always clamp the workpiece tightly. | वस्तु को वाइस में कस के रखें।

• Use full length of file and apply steady pressure. | फाइल को पूरे जोर और लंबाई के साथ चलाएं।

• Select blade according to material. | मटेरियल के हिसाब से ब्लेड चुनें।

4. Drilling, Tapping & Reaming / ड्रिलिंग, टैपिंग व रीमिंग

Learn:

• Drill machine basics and drill bits types
  ड्रिल मशीन की जानकारी और ड्रिल बिट्स के प्रकार

• How to make holes of different sizes and depths
  विभिन्न आकार व गहराई के छेद बनाना

• Tapping (making internal threads) and reaming (finishing holes)
  टैपिंग (अंदरूनी थ्रेड) और रीमिंग (छेदों की फिनिशिंग)

Key Points:

• Speed selection is important for each material. | हर मटेरियल के लिए स्पीड अलग होनी चाहिए।

• Apply coolant or oil for smooth drilling and less wear. | ड्रिलिंग में चिकनाई/ऑयल उपयोग करें।

• Keep taps straight and do not force them. | टैप सीधा रखें, जोर न लगाएं।

5. Sheet Metal Work / शीट मेटल कार्य

Learn:

• Tools for cutting, bending, and joining sheet metal.
  शीट मेटल काटने, मोड़ने और जोड़ने के उपकरण।

• Seaming, folding, riveting and soldering basics.
  सीमिंग, फोल्डिंग, रिवेटिंग और सोल्डरिंग के आधार।

Key Points:

• Always wear gloves to handle sheets safely. | शीट को संभालते समय दस्ताने पहनें।

• Mark and measure before cutting. | काटने से पहले निशान और माप लें।

6. Welding Basics / वेल्डिंग मूल बातें

Learn:

• Introduction to arc and gas welding and their uses.
  आर्क और गैस वेल्डिंग का परिचय और उनके उपयोग।

• Setting up welding machine, holding electrode & workpiece.
  वेल्डिंग मशीन सेटअप, इलेक्ट्रोड वर्कपीस को कैसे रखें।

• Precautions for eye and hand safety while welding.
  वेल्डिंग के समय आँख और हाथ की सुरक्षा के उपाय।

Key Points:

• Always use welding helmet and gloves. | वेल्डिंग हेलमेट व दस्ताने पहनना जरूरी है।

• Keep workspace well-ventilated. | वेल्डिंग करते समय वेंटिलेशन रखें।

7. Lathe & Turning Operations / लेथ व टर्निंग ऑपरेशन

Learn:

• Basic parts and types of lathe machines.
  लेथ मशीन के मूल भाग और प्रकार।

• Simple operations: facing, turning, chamfering, thread cutting.
  सरल ऑपरेशन्स: फेसींग, टर्निंग, चैम्फरिंग, थ्रेड कटिंग।

• Safety procedures on lathe.
  लेथ पर सुरक्षा के तरीके।

Key Points:

• Always check job clamping is secure. | वर्कपीस मजबूती से कसा होना चाहिए।

• Use correct tool and speed for the job. | हर कार्य के लिए उपयुक्त टूल और स्पीड चुनें।

8. Assembly and Interchangeability / असेम्बली व अदला-बदली

Learn:

• Concept of fitting two or more parts perfectly together.
  दो या दो से अधिक पार्ट्स का सटीक फिटिंग।

• Tolerances, clearances, and their necessity.
  टॉलरन्स, क्लियरेंस और इनकी आवश्यकता।

• Use of gauges and templates for checking fit.
  फिटिंग जांचने के लिए गेज और टेम्पलेट का इस्तेमाल।

Key Points:

• Even small error can disturb assembly. | छोटी सी चूक से असेम्बली में प्रॉब्लम आ सकती है।

• Interchangeability is important in mass production. | अदला-बदली बड़े स्तर की प्रोडक्शन में जरूरी है।

9. Maintenance & Housekeeping / रखरखाव और साफ़-सफाई

Learn:

• Regular oiling and cleaning of machine tools.
  मशीन टूल्स की नियमित सफाई और तेल लगाना।

• Inspection routines and record keeping.
  निरीक्षण और रेकार्ड बनाए रखना।

• Basic troubleshooting of common machine problems.
  सामान्य समस्याओं का बेसिक समाधान।

Key Points:

• Clean tools last longer and work better. | साफ औजार ज्यादा चलते हैं और अच्छा काम करते हैं।

• Preventive maintenance prevents accidents. | समय रहते रखरखाव से दुर्घटनाएँ बचती हैं।
